Real mandates. Real timelines. Real outcomes.

We've worked across some of the region's most demanding hiring environments. Here's what we delivered. Client names are withheld in line with our confidentiality commitments; sector, mandate and outcome details are accurate.

Case Study 01Professional & Technical Recruitment

The search that wasn't working — until it was.

Client:
A global IT services company, Middle East expansion
Mandate:
16 specialists across cloud, security, project management and data engineering — 8 weeks to full deployment

The challenge

The client had been searching for months with limited results. Quality candidates either weren't available or required timelines that didn't fit the business need. Their requirement was specific: 12 cloud and security professionals, 2 senior project managers with proven delivery track records, 1 data engineering lead and 1 corporate travel specialist for executive client management. Previous searches had focused on the same visible candidate pools — creating competition for the same limited talent.

What we did

  • Focused sourcing on India's established technology centres — Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune and Delhi NCR — where enterprise-grade experience has been developed through work with global firms
  • Moved away from certification-led screening to scenario-based evaluations: implementation experience verification, problem-solving assessments and delivery methodology alignment
  • Sourced through technical communities and professional networks where experienced practitioners are active — not job boards
  • Prioritised proven implementation experience and cultural fit over availability and cost

Case Study 02Project & Workforce Recruitment

50 elite welders. 20 days. 100% pass rate.

Client:
A global leader in industrial gases and services
Mandate:
50 TIG & ARC welding specialists — 30-day deployment window, zero compromise on technical standards

The challenge

Mission-critical welding operations required 6G positional certification, Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel expertise, and pressure vessel experience. Standard sourcing timelines ran 35+ days. The client had zero tolerance for quality compromise and needed simultaneous deployment — not a rolling process that stretched over months.

What we did

  • Activated a multi-city simultaneous recruitment campaign across three strategic industrial hubs: Vadodara, Surat and Vizag
  • Ran a 4-stage selection protocol: pre-qualification technical interviews, live welding skill demonstrations, behavioural competency assessments and medical and documentation verification
  • 500+ applications received — 50 selected for final client approval through rigorous screening
  • Industry-veteran technical evaluation panel conducted real-time 6G positional welding assessments on industry-standard materials
  • Cultural orientation, safety training and full deployment preparation completed before travel

Case Study 03Executive & Professional Search

Two critical mandates. One reliable partner. Both delivered.

Client:
A leading EPC major with active programmes across the GCC
Mandate:
Senior Cost Manager + Mechanical Design Engineer for a major infrastructure programme in Abu Dhabi

The challenge

Two roles, two very different profiles, one shared pressure: the programme timeline didn't wait. The Senior Cost Manager needed 15+ years in civil infrastructure, with a strong track record on bridge and highways projects — a profile that's genuinely scarce in the active GCC market. The Mechanical Design Engineer at mid-career level needed pressure vessel design experience and ASME code familiarity. A previous firm had been engaged for three months on both roles with no viable shortlist produced.

What we did

  • Direct market mapping across the GCC and South Asia for each role separately — not a shared search process
  • Senior Cost Manager: 18 passive candidates approached directly; 4 invited to a structured competency assessment aligned to the client's project type and delivery methodology
  • Mechanical Design Engineer: targeted sourcing across India's engineering centres and GCC-based expat professionals; practical technical screening on pressure vessel standards and ASME codes
  • Both shortlists delivered with compensation benchmarking and honest market context — including one honest conversation about adjusting the package for the senior role to access the right calibre

The outcome

5 weeks
Senior Cost Manager placed (sourced from India, relocated to Abu Dhabi)
4 weeks
Mechanical Design Engineer placed
12 days
Both cleared medical and visa processing after offer

Both remain in post at the 12-month mark.

“They told us honestly what the market looked like before they started the search. That alone separated them from everyone else we'd used.”

— HR Director, EPC Major
Case Study 04Executive Search · Clean Energy

Placing precision in a market moving too fast to wait.

Client:
An international renewable energy company scaling its GCC presence
Mandate:
Manager, Technical – BESS & Hybrid Solutions + Trade Finance Manager

The challenge

Two simultaneous mandates that couldn't have been more different — and both genuinely difficult. For the BESS & Hybrid Technical Manager: this profile barely exists at manager level. The market has battery storage specialists and solar specialists, rarely both with hybrid systems management experience and a commercial understanding of utility-scale project delivery. For the Trade Finance Manager: the role required deep knowledge of Islamic finance structures and project finance in GCC energy markets — a combination that sits well outside a standard finance hire.

What we did

  • BESS Manager: mapped candidates across Germany, UK, India and GCC — six globally viable profiles identified; direct confidential approach to three passive candidates, none actively looking
  • Trade Finance Manager: GCC-focused search prioritising candidates with prior experience in project finance for energy assets; verified Islamic finance exposure as a non-negotiable, not a preference
  • Both searches run in parallel — client received fortnightly updates with honest market commentary, not just pipeline numbers
  • Supported both candidates through visa, relocation and contract negotiations

The outcome

8 weeks
BESS & Hybrid Manager placed (UK-based, relocated to the UAE)
6 weeks
Trade Finance Manager placed (GCC-based, immediate start)
12 Mo+
Both remain in post

The BESS Manager has since led the successful commissioning of the client's first hybrid storage project in the region.

“Finding someone who genuinely understands BESS at manager level — not just battery chemistry, but hybrid integration and commercial delivery — is not a standard search. Infinium understood that from the first conversation.”
